Schedule/Hours:

  • 5x8-hour shifts per week
  • 40 hours guaranteed
  • 13-week assignment

Qualifications:

  • Active RN license in Arizona or compact state required
  • Previous nursing experience in medical-surgical oncology settings
  • Proficiency administering chemotherapy; hands-on chemo experience required (chemo certification not mandatory)
  • Expertise assessing, monitoring, and managing oncology patients during treatment
  • High level of compassion, clinical judgment, and the ability to support patients and families throughout the care process

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver evidence-based nursing care to oncology patients, including safe chemotherapy administration and comprehensive symptom management
  • Collaborate closely with physicians, pharmacists, and the healthcare team to ensure optimal care plans and patient outcomes
  • Perform ongoing monitoring, documentation, and education for both patients and caregivers regarding chemotherapy and potential side effects
  • Use critical thinking skills to respond promptly to any changes in patient condition, ensuring safety and comfort at every step
  • Maintain patient records accurately and adhere to facility standards, protocols, and best practices
