Chemo Registered Nurse - Oncology in Rillito, AZ

Take your nursing expertise to the next level as a valued clinician supporting Oncology and Med-Surg patients. This is a contract opportunity for an experienced RN with skills in medical-surgical oncology and chemotherapy administration, starting as soon as possible for a 13-week duration.

Key details:

• Schedule: Five 8-hour shifts per week
• Hours: 40 hours guaranteed weekly
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Start: ASAP

Qualifications:

• Active AZ or compact state RN license required
• Proven experience in administering chemotherapy infusions; formal Chemo certification is not mandatory
• Background in MS Oncology nursing strongly preferred
• Strong assessment, communication, and critical thinking abilities
• Compassionate approach with a commitment to patient-focused care
• Ability to thrive in a dynamic, collaborative healthcare environment

Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to oncology patients in an acute med-surg setting
• Administer prescribed chemotherapy regimens while monitoring patient responses and safety
• Collaborate closely with physicians, oncology pharmacists, and interdisciplinary care teams
• Perform patient assessments, develop and adjust care plans, and educate patients and families about treatments and side effects
• Document care activities accurately and in accordance with facility protocols
• Respond promptly to complications or adverse reactions during treatment

$3,096 - $3,264/Week Estimated weekly earnings represent hourly wages, based on 40 hours per week, and expense reimbursement for eligible candidates. The actual amount may vary based on hours worked, eligibility for reimbursements, and seasonal adjustments.
