Advance your nursing career with a specialized role supporting oncology patients. This contract opportunity plays a crucial role in providing compassionate and skilled care for individuals receiving medical-surgical oncology treatment. You’ll apply your expertise in chemotherapy administration—experience is essential, but certification is not mandatory—to deliver safe, high-quality care in a supportive environment.

Schedule:

  • Five 8-hour shifts per week
  • 40 hours guaranteed
  • 13-week contract
  • Flexible start date: 7/27 or 8/3

Qualifications:

  • Active AZ or compact state RN license required
  • Proven experience administering chemotherapy (certification not required)
  • Previous experience in a medical-surgical oncology setting strongly preferred
  • Strong clinical assessment, organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to provide empathetic, patient-focused care in a multidisciplinary team

Responsibilities:

  • Administer chemotherapy and other oncology treatments in accordance with protocols and safety standards
  • Collaborate with physicians, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans
  • Monitor patients for side effects or adverse reactions, taking appropriate actions as needed
  • Support patients and their families through education, advocacy, and emotional care during treatment
  • Maintain accurate, thorough patient records and documentation
  • Adhere to all facility policies and state regulatory requirements
