Work Schedule:

  • 4 days per week, 10-hour shifts
  • Shift: 6:30 AM – 4:30 PM
  • Full-time contract position

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing required
  • Active and unencumbered RN license in New Mexico or compact state
  • Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association
  • Prior experience in oncology nursing highly desirable
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage clinical and administrative staff

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 24/7 oversight for nursing operations in assigned oncology units
  • Collaborate with hospital leadership and multi-disciplinary teams to ensure superior patient outcomes, safety, and satisfaction
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate unit policies, goals, and procedures
  • Advocate for the rights and needs of patients and families
  • Maintain regulatory compliance with state and Joint Commission standards
  • Oversee staffing, scheduling, recruitment, and professional development of nursing personnel
  • Drive process improvements, manage resources effectively, and contribute to annual budget planning
  • Foster a culture of open communication, continuous learning, and conflict resolution within the team
