Work Schedule:
- 4 days per week, 10-hour shifts
- Shift: 6:30 AM – 4:30 PM
- Full-time contract position
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing required
- Active and unencumbered RN license in New Mexico or compact state
- Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association
- Prior experience in oncology nursing highly desirable
- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage clinical and administrative staff
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 24/7 oversight for nursing operations in assigned oncology units
- Collaborate with hospital leadership and multi-disciplinary teams to ensure superior patient outcomes, safety, and satisfaction
- Develop, implement, and evaluate unit policies, goals, and procedures
- Advocate for the rights and needs of patients and families
- Maintain regulatory compliance with state and Joint Commission standards
- Oversee staffing, scheduling, recruitment, and professional development of nursing personnel
- Drive process improvements, manage resources effectively, and contribute to annual budget planning
- Foster a culture of open communication, continuous learning, and conflict resolution within the team
