Take on a leadership role in oncology nursing by overseeing the daily operations and patient care for oncology units in a dynamic hospital setting. This is a full-time, contract opportunity for an experienced RN with a focus on MS Oncology, offering you the chance to drive quality initiatives and staff development in a collaborative environment.

Schedule:

  • Four 10-hour shifts per week
  • 6:30 am – 4:30 pm

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
  • Valid RN license in NM or compact state
  • Current BLS certification (AHA only)
  • Proven experience in oncology nursing, including MS Oncology

Key Responsibilities:

  • Take primary responsibility and accountability for effective nursing practice within assigned units
  • Lead implementation and evaluation of departmental goals, priorities, and compliance with state and regulatory requirements
  • Advocate for patients and families to ensure rights and satisfaction are prioritized
  • Monitor and manage operations, staff utilization, and material resources to deliver therapeutic, safe, and cost-effective care
  • Support professional growth and development of staff, leading recruitment, coaching, and performance evaluations
  • Coordinate with Human Resources on licensure, credentialing, orientation, and ongoing education requirements
  • Facilitate regular staff meetings and process improvement activities, reinforcing commitment to patient safety and unit standards
  • Collaborate cross-departmentally to enhance patient outcomes and resolve issues
  • Oversee regulatory documentation, quality control, and budget contributions for the unit

$60,500 - $64,000/Week Estimated weekly earnings represent hourly wages, based on 40 hours per week, and expense reimbursement for eligible candidates. The actual amount may vary based on hours worked, eligibility for reimbursements, and seasonal adjustments.
