Schedule/Hours:
- Five 8-hour shifts per week
- 40 hours guaranteed
Preferred Qualifications:
- Active AZ or compact RN license (required)
- Previous experience administering chemotherapy (Chemo certification not required)
- Background in medical-surgical oncology nursing
- Strong assessment and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams
- Adaptability and resilience in a fast-paced oncology unit
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer chemotherapy treatments and monitor patient responses
- Provide high-quality, compassionate nursing care to oncology patients
- Collaborate with oncologists and pharmacy staff for safe medication delivery
- Educate patients and families regarding chemotherapy, side effect management, and ongoing care
- Document patient progress accurately in electronic health records
- Respond effectively to emergencies and changes in patient condition
- Uphold evidence-based practice standards and infection control protocols
