Registered Nurse - Oncology - Wetumpka, AL

Schedule/Hours:

• Full-time, 13-week contract assignment
• 36 or 48 hours per week
• Choice of 3x12 or 4x12 hour shifts
• Day and night shifts available
• No on-call responsibilities; weekends and holidays are not required

Qualifications:

• Current RN license required; BSN preferred
• BLS (AHA) and ACLS certifications are mandatory
• Kentucky state license or compact license accepted
• At least 2 years of relevant experience in Med Surg or Oncology nursing is desired
• Previous travel nursing experience preferred, though not required

Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients admitted for medical-surgical and oncology reasons
• Administer medications, monitor treatment regimens, and assess patient conditions
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to implement individualized plans of care
• Educate patients and families on disease processes, treatments, and symptom management
• Maintain detailed and accurate documentation in compliance with hospital policies
• Respond promptly to changes in patient status, prioritizing safety and positive outcomes
