Registered Nurse (RN) | Franklin, Tennessee

Step into a vital clinical role utilizing your specialized skills in both nursing and perfusionist care within a dynamic, high-acuity cardiac program. This contract position will primarily support cardiac surgery and transplant cases during 8-hour day shifts, Monday through Friday, with shifts beginning at 6:30 a.m. Participation in a structured 6-tier call system for nights and weekends is an essential part of the position.

Orientation Dates: 9/28, 10/5, 10/12, 10/19, and 10/26 only.

Schedule/Hours:

• 8-hour day shifts, Monday–Friday, 6:30 a.m. start
• Call rotation required; includes nights and weekends on a 6-tier system

Key Qualifications:

• Registered Nurse (RN) with Perfusionist expertise
• Minimum of 5 years’ clinical experience, with at least 1 year in a recent Level 1 Trauma environment
• Current ABCP (American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion) certification
• Valid Tennessee Clinical Perfusionist License
• High school diploma or college degree (required for CAPS certification)
• Proficiency with POC devices and ECMO management
• Ability to manage a full spectrum of cardiac and transplant cases (CABG, valves, adult congenital, complex aortic, thoracic/liver transplants, etc.)
• Adaptability to cover ECMO in-house 24/7, including cannulations, decannulations, circuit manipulations, CT transport, and physical therapy sessions
• Experience with TAVR, LLE, mechanical thrombectomy, vascular standby, and HIPEC cases
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Travel experience in a clinical capacity is a plus, but not mandatory

Role Responsibilities:

• Provide skilled support for a variety of complex cardiac, thoracic, and transplant surgeries
• Ensure comprehensive ECMO coverage, including day/evening/weekend management and inter-hospital transports
• Respond swiftly to emergent situations and adapt to high case complexity
• Participate in specialized procedures and interdisciplinary collaborations

$5,687 - $6,016/Week Estimated weekly earnings represent hourly wages, based on 40 hours per week, and expense reimbursement for eligible candidates. The actual amount may vary based on hours worked, eligibility for reimbursements, and seasonal adjustments.
