Registered Nurse in Nashville, TN

A highly skilled and adaptable perfusionist or RN with specialized cardiac experience is needed for a contract assignment supporting a diverse, high-acuity surgical team. This opportunity involves providing advanced perfusion services and cardiac support, including coverage for heart and lung transplants, complex cardiac cases, and ECMO support in a fast-paced, Level 1 Trauma environment.

Schedule & Orientation:

• 8-hour shifts, Monday through Friday, with a 6:30 a.m. start
• Call required: night and weekend coverage as part of a 6-tier call system
• Multiple orientation dates available: 9/28, 10/5, 10/12, 10/19, 10/26

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of overall perfusion experience, with at least 1 year of recent Level 1 Trauma facility experience
• Active ABCP (American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion) Certification
• Valid Tennessee Clinical Perfusionist License
• High school diploma or college degree required (for CAPS certification)
• Capability to operate POC devices independently
• Prior travel experience in a similar setting is valued but not mandatory

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive perfusion support for a range of surgical cases, including CABG, valve procedures, adult congenital, aortic dissections, and minimally invasive surgeries
• Participate in cardiac, thoracic, and liver transplant procedures
• Responsible for ECMO in-house 24/7, handling all aspects—cannulations, decannulations, circuit management, and transport
• Support TAVRs, LLE in the CL/EP lab, mechanical thrombectomies, and HIPEC cases
• Remain on-call for vascular standby and respond to sporadic combination cases or transplant-related emergencies
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care throughout perioperative phases

$5,687 - $6,016/Week Estimated weekly earnings represent hourly wages, based on 40 hours per week, and expense reimbursement for eligible candidates. The actual amount may vary based on hours worked, eligibility for reimbursements, and seasonal adjustments.
