Psych Registered Nurse (RN) in Pike Road, AL

Qualifications & Experience:

• Active RN license in good standing
• Previous experience in psychiatric or mental health nursing required
• Strong crisis intervention and de-escalation skills
• Proficient in patient assessment, care planning, and medication administration for mental health populations
• Excellent communication, documentation, and teamwork abilities
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to psychiatric patients under direction of clinical supervisors
• Assess patient needs, monitor behaviors, and implement individualized care plans
• Administer prescribed medications and monitor therapeutic responses
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including therapists and social workers, to support patient recovery
• Provide education and emotional support to patients and their families regarding mental health conditions
• Maintain accurate, timely clinical records and contribute to a safe care environment
• Respond to emergencies and participate in crisis interventions as needed
