Preferred Qualifications:

• Active and unrestricted RN license
• Prior experience in psychiatric or behavioral health nursing, especially within geriatric settings
• Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
• Excellent communication and de-escalation techniques
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team
• BLS certification required

Primary Responsibilities:

• Perform comprehensive assessments for geriatric psychiatric patients
• Administer medications and monitor for efficacy and side effects
• Develop, implement, and update individualized care plans
• Provide direct patient care and participate in therapeutic interventions
• Document accurately and thoroughly in accordance with regulations and standards
• Collaborate with physicians, social workers, and other professionals to coordinate care
• Offer emotional support and advocacy for patients and their families
