Job Overview

Join a travel nursing assignment in Savannah, Georgia, as a Psychiatric Registered Nurse (Psych RN). Day and night shifts are available. You’ll provide compassionate, structured care to patients experiencing behavioral health needs, collaborate with the care team, and document care accurately. This role calls for sound clinical judgment, clear communication, and a steady, patient-centered approach.

Weekly Pay- $1,750-1,900 weekly based on 36 hours (Skillsets and work experience will determine gross amount)

Schedule: Day and night shifts available for interview
Shift: Days during the week vary. Must be flexible.
13-week travel contract

Fast-paced, high-acuity environment
Ideal candidate will have prior trauma and hospital-based Psych RN experience.

Qualifications
Acute care experience.
Skills in critical and intensive care.
RN, BLS
Patient assessment skills.
Experience managing electronic health records (EHR).

Responsibilities

• Assess patients’ physical and behavioral health, monitor vital signs, and identify changes that require follow-up.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed; support safety, de-escalation, and individualized care planning.
• Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes in electronic health records (EHRs), following privacy and infection-control practices.
• Coordinate with patients, families, and the care team on ongoing care and discharge planning.

Requirements

• Registered Nurse licensure and eligibility to practice in Georgia; travel nursing experience is preferred.
• Behavioral health or psychiatric nursing experience is preferred, along with patient assessment, medication administration, triage, and medical documentation skills.
• Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) or EHR systems, including Epic or Cerner, is helpful.
• Basic life support (BLS) certification is preferred; follow Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) privacy requirements.
• Additional experience in acute care, emergency medicine, geriatrics, memory care, or care for individuals with developmental disabilities is a plus.
