Psych Registered Nurse (RN) in Wetumpka, AL

Qualifications:

• Valid and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license
• At least one year of recent experience in psychiatric/behavioral health nursing
• Current BLS certification
• Strong understanding of psychiatric diagnoses, treatment plans, and medication management
• Excellent communication, critical thinking, and de-escalation skills
• Ability to document accurately and efficiently using electronic health records systems

Schedule/Hours:

• Full-time contract assignment
• Various shifts available, including days, evenings, and weekends (shift options will be discussed during the interview process)

Responsibilities:

• Assess, monitor, and document patients’ physical and mental health status
• Administer prescribed medications, monitor effects, and report concerns
• Develop and implement individualized patient care plans in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
• Provide therapeutic interventions, supportive counseling, and crisis intervention
• Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with facility policies and procedures
• Respond quickly and effectively to emergency situations
• Foster a safe, respectful environment for patients and staff
