Advance your nursing career in a dynamic medically complex rehabilitation environment. This contract opportunity requires an experienced RN to provide care for patients with a range of complex conditions, including LVAD, CVA, ABI, SCI, wounds, CAPD, and vents. The facility specializes in long-term acute care, differing from traditional med/surg environments, and supports floating between MRU and CMU units during 12-hour shifts.

Schedule:

  • 12-hour shifts: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
  • Every other weekend required

Qualifications:

  • Active RN license
  • 1-2 years of RN experience, with preference for respiratory/vented patient care
  • Previous travel nursing highly preferred
  • BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
  • Strong skills in wound care, IV starts, medication titrations, drips, blood administration, EKGs, trach care, and suctioning
  • Capable of floating between units for full or partial shifts
  • Ability to manage complex tasks independently and adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Deliver focused, high-quality patient care in a medically complex rehab setting
  • Start and manage IVs, titrate medications, administer blood products, and monitor glucose
  • Perform wound VAC changes, complex and simple wound dressings, wound measurement and documentation
  • Provide trach care, suctioning, straight cath, Foley care, and central line dressing care
  • Access ports and carry out thorough patient assessments
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including respiratory therapists (RTs handle mechanical ventilation)
  • Adapt to workflow needs by floating between MRU and CMU units as required

$1,895 - $2,074/Week Estimated weekly earnings represent hourly wages, based on 36 hours per week, and expense reimbursement for eligible candidates. The actual amount may vary based on hours worked, eligibility for reimbursements, and seasonal adjustments.
