Step into a dynamic and rewarding nursing opportunity providing care for medically complex rehabilitation patients. This contract role is ideal for registered nurses who excel within Long Term Acute Care (LTAC) and rehabilitation settings, particularly those comfortable in fast-paced, multidisciplinary environments. The focus is on adult patients with a primary population including LVAD, CVA, ABI, SCI, wounds, CAPD, and vents (though respiratory therapists manage ventilators).

Schedule/Hours:

  • 12-hour day shifts: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
  • Every other weekend required

Desired Qualifications:

  • Valid RN license with 1-2 years experience in LTAC/Rehab settings
  • Strong background working with respiratory/vented patients (direct ventilator management not required)
  • Prior travel nursing experience is preferred
  • Current BLS certification; ACLS preferred
  • Experience with adult chronic/medically complex populations
  • Clean, detailed work history—highlight experience with respiratory or vented patients if available

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver comprehensive care to patients with a variety of complex medical needs in both MRU and CMU units
  • Engage in unit-specific protocols such as IV starts, medication titrations, blood administration, EKGs, glucose monitoring, wound vac changes, complex/simple wound dressings, trach care, suctioning, straight cath, Foley care, port access, central line dressing changes, and wound measurement
  • Float between acute care sister units as needed throughout each 12-hour shift
  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to support optimal patient outcomes
  • Adapt to medical-focused environments (distinct from traditional Med/Surg units)

$1,895 - $2,074/Week Estimated weekly earnings represent hourly wages, based on 36 hours per week, and expense reimbursement for eligible candidates. The actual amount may vary based on hours worked, eligibility for reimbursements, and seasonal adjustments.
