Advance your nursing career in a dynamic setting dedicated to medically complex rehabilitation care. This contract assignment offers the chance to support patients with diverse needs within a multidisciplinary team, focusing on providing high-level care and promoting recovery.

Schedule/Hours:

  • 12-hour day shifts (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM)
  • Every other weekend required

Qualifications:

  • Active RN license with at least 1-2 years of nursing experience
  • Background in Rehab/LTC or Long Term Acute Care (LTAC) settings
  • Strongly preferred: Experience with respiratory/vented patients (nurses do not manage ventilators directly; RTs manage vents)
  • Prior travel nursing experience is a plus
  • BLS certification required; ACLS preferred

Primary Patient Population:

  • LVAD, CVA, ABI, SCI, wounds, CAPD, and vented patients
  • Exposure to a medical, non-traditional Med/Surg environment

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive patient care on Medically Complex Rehabilitation Units (MRU), including floating to Clinical Medicine Units (CMU) as needed
  • Responsible for IV starts, managing drips, blood administration, EKGs, med titration, glucose monitoring, and wound care (including wound vac changes and measurements)
  • Perform trach care, suctioning, straight caths, Foley care, port access, and central line dressing changes
  • Deliver care according to established protocols, adapting to the needs of both acute and long-term rehabilitation patients
  • Engage in frequent floating; during a 12-hour shift, you may split time between units for enhanced collaboration

$1,895 - $2,074/Week Estimated weekly earnings represent hourly wages, based on 36 hours per week, and expense reimbursement for eligible candidates. The actual amount may vary based on hours worked, eligibility for reimbursements, and seasonal adjustments.
