This contract opportunity is ideal for Registered Nurses with a strong clinical background in PCU or Stepdown who thrive on comprehensive patient care and team collaboration.
Schedule:
- 3x12 hour night shifts per week
- 13-week contract
- Overtime calculated after 48 hours worked
- Consecutive shifts are preferred although not guaranteed; block scheduling is not available
Qualifications:
- Valid RN license with at least 2 years of recent experience in PCU, Stepdown, or Telemetry settings
- Experience administering medication drips
- ACLS and BLS certifications from the American Heart Association are required
- Strong assessment, planning, and communication skills
- Ability to provide leadership in patient care delivery and delegate tasks appropriately
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and deliver high-quality, compassionate patient care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation)
- Delegate, supervise, and document care provided by the nursing team
- Educate patients and families about care plans, treatments, and interventions
- Communicate effectively with the healthcare team regarding pertinent patient or family information
- Identify variances from patient goals, participate in solution-finding, and ensure implementation of appropriate actions
- Uphold professional standards and ensure compliance with clinical and safety protocols
