Stepdown Registered Nurse - Albion, Michigan

This contract opportunity is ideal for Registered Nurses with a strong clinical background in PCU or Stepdown who thrive on comprehensive patient care and team collaboration.

Schedule:

• 3x12 hour night shifts per week
• 13-week contract
• Overtime calculated after 48 hours worked
• Consecutive shifts are preferred although not guaranteed; block scheduling is not available

Qualifications:

• Valid RN license with at least 2 years of recent experience in PCU, Stepdown, or Telemetry settings
• Experience administering medication drips
• ACLS and BLS certifications from the American Heart Association are required
• Strong assessment, planning, and communication skills
• Ability to provide leadership in patient care delivery and delegate tasks appropriately

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and deliver high-quality, compassionate patient care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation)
• Delegate, supervise, and document care provided by the nursing team
• Educate patients and families about care plans, treatments, and interventions
• Communicate effectively with the healthcare team regarding pertinent patient or family information
• Identify variances from patient goals, participate in solution-finding, and ensure implementation of appropriate actions
• Uphold professional standards and ensure compliance with clinical and safety protocols
