PCU/Stepdown Registered Nurse (RN) | Albuquerque, New Mexico

Bring your advanced nursing expertise to a progressive patient care stepdown unit, providing high-level care to individuals with complex cardiovascular conditions. In this night shift role, you’ll be working in a dynamic, 55-bed progressive care environment within a highly respected healthcare system. This opportunity offers the flexibility of choosing either 36 or 48 hours per week on a contract basis, with scheduling options available on a case-by-case basis.

Schedule/Hours:

• Night shifts: 4x12 hours (18:30 – 07:00)
• Option of 36 or 48 hours per week
• Weekend coverage as needed, on a rotating basis
• Block scheduling may be requested
• No on-call requirements

Qualifications:

• Active RN license with at least 1 year of recent stepdown experience (2 years preferred)
• Cardiovascular experience is required
• First-time travelers are welcomed
• BLS and ACLS certifications required; CPI certification preferred
• Ability to float to related units as needed

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver skilled nursing care to stepdown/PCU patients, following evidence-based clinical practices
• Monitor and manage patients with complex cardiovascular needs
• Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary team members
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation using EPIC
• Adapt to changing patient care assignments, floating as required
