Stepdown Registered Nurse (RN) - Anniston, AL

Stepdown and Telemetry Registered Nurses are sought for a dynamic clinical environment providing comprehensive patient monitoring and care. This contract opportunity features involvement in both stepdown and telemetry units, requiring advanced clinical judgment, rapid response capabilities, and exceptional communication skills. Candidates will support patient recovery during critical transitional phases, closely collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications:

• Current, unrestricted RN licensure
• Minimum of 1 year experience in stepdown or progressive care unit
• Demonstrated expertise with telemetry monitoring and interpreting cardiac rhythms
• BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required
• Strong critical thinking, prioritization, and organizational abilities
• Proven ability to maintain accurate, detailed patient records and adapt to changing clinical situations

Responsibilities:

• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and continuous cardiac monitoring in stepdown and telemetry settings
• Administer medications, including IV therapy, in accordance with physician orders
• Monitor patient condition, anticipate and respond to changes, and implement appropriate interventions
• Collaborate with providers to develop and evaluate individualized care plans
• Educate patients and families regarding illness management, medication, and treatment protocols
• Accurately document clinical observations, treatments, and outcomes using electronic medical records
• Adhere to all facility policies, infection control guidelines, and safety standards

$1,815 - $1,920/Week Estimated weekly earnings represent hourly wages, based on 40 hours per week, and expense reimbursement for eligible candidates. The actual amount may vary based on hours worked, eligibility for reimbursements, and seasonal adjustments.
