Stepdown Registered Nurse (RN) - Ayden, NC

Experienced Registered Nurses are needed for a contract position in a dynamic stepdown unit. This role is ideal for skilled professionals with a strong clinical background in acute care settings, specifically stepdown environments. Schedule/Hours:

• 36 hours per week

Key Qualifications:

• Current and valid RN license
• At least one year of recent experience in a stepdown or progressive care unit
• Proficiency with monitoring, assessment, and titration of critical medications
• Excellent critical thinking and clinical judgment skills
• Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
• BLS and ACLS certifications required

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver high quality nursing care for post-ICU and high-acuity patients
• Monitor vital signs and respond promptly to changes in patient condition
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and allied health professionals
• Provide detailed patient status updates and education to patients and families
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation
