Stepdown Registered Nurse - Belen, New Mexico

Seeking a skilled Registered Nurse with strong stepdown experience for an engaging position in a progressive care unit. This contract role offers the opportunity to care for patients at a specialized heart hospital, featuring a collaborative environment and state-of-the-art resources.

Schedule/Hours:

• Night shifts: 4x12-hour (18:30 - 07:00)
• 36 or 48 hours per week option
• Weekend shifts as needed, on a rotating basis
• Block scheduling available on a case-by-case basis

Qualifications/Experience:

• Active RN license
• BLS and ACLS certifications required; CPI preferred
• At least one year of recent stepdown nursing experience required; two years preferred
• Cardiovascular experience required
• EPIC documentation system familiarity a plus
• Able to float as needed across relevant units
• Open to first-time travelers

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality nursing care in a 55-bed progressive care unit with a patient ratio of approximately 1:4
• Monitor and assess cardiovascular patients, responding promptly to changes in condition
• Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
• Maintain thorough and accurate documentation in EPIC system
• Contribute to a supportive environment that encourages learning and growth
