Key Qualifications:

• Current, active RN license
• Minimum of 1 year of recent experience in a step-down or progressive care unit
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications
• Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and decision-making skills
• Proficiency in electronic medical record systems
• Excellent communication and collaboration with healthcare team members and families

Schedule/Hours:

• Contract position with variable shifts, including weekends and holidays as required

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and assess patients’ progress from critical care, closely tracking vital signs and response to therapy
• Administer medications and therapies in accordance with physician orders and established protocols
• Educate patients and families on recovery, post-discharge care, and steps for safe transitions
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other team members to achieve the best patient outcomes
• Maintain accurate and thorough documentation for compliance and continuity of care
• Respond promptly to changes in patient status, swiftly initiating necessary interventions
