Take on a vital nursing role in a progressive care environment providing expert care to patients requiring specialized monitoring and intervention. As part of this fast-paced team caring for Stepdown and Progressive Care Unit (PCU) patients, you’ll use your clinical judgment and strong assessment skills to help coordinate and deliver safe, compassionate care.
Schedule:
- 3x12-hour night shifts each week
- 13-week contract
- Overtime paid after 48 hours per week
- Facility will make an effort to group your shifts together but cannot guarantee block scheduling
Qualifications:
- Active RN license
- At least 2 years of recent experience in PCU, Stepdown, or Telemetry units
- Proficient with medication drips
- BLS and ACLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) in hand
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Adaptable to rotating schedule; flexibility required
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and coordinate patient care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation)
- Delegate, supervise, and document care for patients and provide education to families
- Communicate essential patient information with the healthcare team
- Participate in identifying solutions for deviations from patient goals and work to implement improvements
- Ensure the delivery of high standards of care within a collaborative multidisciplinary environment

$1,728 - $1,890/Week Estimated weekly earnings represent hourly wages, based on 36 hours per week, and expense reimbursement for eligible candidates. The actual amount may vary based on hours worked, eligibility for reimbursements, and seasonal adjustments.
