Stepdown Registered Nurse - Chesapeake, Virginia

Provide expert care in a dynamic stepdown unit, utilizing your RN skills to support patients transitioning from critical to intermediate care. This contract role is ideal for experienced Registered Nurses familiar with stepdown environments, who are ready to make a difference in patient outcomes.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Active RN license, without restrictions
• At least 1 year of recent experience in a stepdown or progressive care unit (PCU)
• Strong knowledge of telemetry, cardiac monitoring, and stepdown protocols
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Effective communication and critical thinking skills
• Proficiency in electronic health record systems is preferred

Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality, patient-centered nursing care in a stepdown setting
• Monitor and interpret vital signs, responding to changes in patient conditions
• Implement individualized care plans in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with established guidelines
• Educate patients and their families on care management and recovery
• Document all aspects of care accurately and timely in patient records
• Maintain patient safety, adhering to infection control and best-practice standards

$2,001 - $2,189/Week Estimated weekly earnings represent hourly wages, based on 36 hours per week, and expense reimbursement for eligible candidates. The actual amount may vary based on hours worked, eligibility for reimbursements, and seasonal adjustments.
