This travel RN Stepdown/PCU opportunity offers unique challenges and valuable practice exposure in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Partner with interdisciplinary teams to provide exceptional care to a diverse cardiac, vascular, and med-surg population. Schedule/Hours:
- 12-hour night shifts
- Every other weekend and every other holiday
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized care plans
- Administer medications, monitor patient progress, and evaluate the effectiveness of interventions
- Manage patients with complex needs, including post-cardiac procedures, various drips, airway support, and device management
- Collaborate closely with physicians, ancillary staff, and families for optimal patient support
- Document and verify telemetry strips in EPIC each shift
- Respond confidently to rapidly changing patient conditions and advocate for patient safety
Desired Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years RN experience (stepdown or similar preferred)
- Valid RN license (multi-state acceptable)
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
- Dysrhythmia exam (study guide provided)
- Strong communication, adaptability, and patient advocacy skills
- Experience with Cardiac Telemetry, BiPAP/CPAP, PCAs, and multiple drips
- Bachelor’s in Nursing and certifications such as PCCN or CCRN preferred
