Schedule:

  • 12-hour night shifts
  • 36 hours per week
  • Every other weekend required
  • 13-week contract assignment

Required Qualifications:

  • Active and unencumbered RN license
  • Five years of RN experience, with substantial recent time in a cardiac telemetry setting
  • Proficiency in cardiac stepdown care, including pre/post-op open heart (transfers from CVICU), TAVR, Watchman implants, mitral clips, and heart catheterizations
  • Demonstrated management of post-op CABG patients (>3 days), cardiac drips (cardizem, amiodarone, dobutamine, lidocaine, milrinone, heparin, insulin), anticoagulants, CHF, chest pain, arrhythmias, NSTEMI, STEMI, PE, sepsis, pneumonia, stroke, and observation patients
  • Experience using TR band and groin management, with ability to identify and address complications
  • Required certifications: BLS and ACLS (must be current)
  • Cardiac telemetry skills checklist must be submitted
  • Commitment to completing all assigned skills documentation accurately

  • Serve as primary or accountable nurse, delegating tasks effectively with a focus on safety and quality
  • Patient and family education in health promotion and disease management
  • Safe administration of medications and management of complex cardiac interventions
  • Adherence to all nursing practice standards, regulatory guidelines, and organizational policies
  • Support unit-based initiatives and professional development opportunities
