Stepdown Unit Registered Nurse (RN) in Greenville, NC

Qualifications & Experience:

• Current, unrestricted RN license
• Demonstrated clinical experience in a stepdown or progressive care setting
• Competency in monitoring and managing patients transitioning from intensive care
• Proficient in the use of medical monitoring equipment and electronic health records
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
• ACLS and BLS certifications required

Schedule:

• Full-time, rotational shifts, including days, nights, and weekends (as needed)

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide continuous, high-quality nursing care to stepdown patients requiring close observation
• Monitor vital signs, recognize clinical changes, and escalate concerns appropriately
• Administer medications and treatment according to established protocols
• Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians, respiratory therapists, and case managers
• Educate patients and families on post-ICU care processes, recovery expectations, and health management
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with all regulatory standards
