PCU/Stepdown Registered Nurse (RN) | Jackson, Michigan

Advance your nursing skills in a dynamic Progressive Care Unit (PCU) environment specializing in Stepdown care. The assignment spans 13 weeks, offering a fast-paced and supportive clinical setting.

Schedule:

• 3x12 hour shifts per week
• Night shifts
• Consecutive shifts will be prioritized, but specific days per week cannot be guaranteed

Qualifications:

• Active RN license in good standing
• At least 2 years of recent experience as a PCU/Stepdown/Telemetry RN
• Proven competency with medication drips
• ACLS and BLS certifications from the American Heart Association (AHA) are required and must be current
• Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and deliver comprehensive patient care utilizing the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation)
• Supervise, delegate, and document patient care and family education
• Communicate effectively with the healthcare team regarding pertinent patient and family information
• Participate in developing and implementing solutions to achieve patient care goals
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and adhere to evidence-based standards of care
