Stepdown Registered Nurse (RN) in Lenexa, KS

We're seeking a dedicated RN to support patients requiring close monitoring and advanced nursing interventions as part of a professional clinical team.

Schedule/Hours:

• Contract assignment with defined duration

Qualifications:

• Active and unencumbered RN license
• Experience in Stepdown or Progressive Care Unit (PCU) environments
• Proficiency with advanced cardiac monitoring and critical patient assessment
• BLS and ACLS certification required
• Strong communication, time management, and teamwork skills
• Commitment to providing high-quality and compassionate care

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct nursing care and continuous evaluation of patient status for adults transitioning from critical care to med-surg
• Administer medications, manage IV lines, and monitor vital signs and cardiac rhythms
• Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, including physicians, respiratory therapists, and case managers
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans and ongoing care needs
• Document care thoroughly and respond swiftly to changes in patient condition
• Uphold infection control and hospital safety protocols

$1,895 - $2,074/Week Estimated weekly earnings represent hourly wages, based on 36 hours per week, and expense reimbursement for eligible candidates. The actual amount may vary based on hours worked, eligibility for reimbursements, and seasonal adjustments.
