Travel Stepdown Unit Registered Nurse (RN) in Lorain, OH

Schedule/Hours

• 13-week contract
• 12-hour PM shifts
• Every other weekend (EOW)
• Every other holiday (EOH)

Qualifications

• Current RN license (state of assignment or Compact)
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a Stepdown or similar setting
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Ability to pass a Dysrhythmia Exam (study guide available)
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred
• Familiarity with EPIC EHR (preferred)

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct ongoing patient assessments and develop, implement, and evaluate individualized plans of care in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams
• Administer safe and effective medications; monitor cardiac drips and telemetry strips utilizing EPIC
• Provide care for a diverse population including post-cardiac catheterization and pacemaker patients, managing devices such as PICCs, dialysis catheters, trachs, BiPAP, high-flow oxygen, and wound vacs
• Supervise ancillary staff and coordinate care activities
• Serve as a safety advocate, participate in quality improvement initiatives, and ensure compassionate, culturally sensitive care
