Travel Stepdown Registered Nurse (RN) - Lorain, OH

Working in a 33-bed Stepdown/PCU unit, you’ll collaborate with expert teams and encounter a broad spectrum of patient needs, sharpening your clinical assessment, cardiac telemetry, and advanced airway management skills. Exposure to varied workplace processes and hospital leadership styles will expand your nursing toolkit and enhance your resume for future opportunities.

Schedule/Hours

• 12-hour night shifts
• Every other weekend required
• Every other holiday rotation

Key Qualifications:

• 2+ years of RN experience (Stepdown preferred)
• Compact or OH RN license (active)
• BLS, ACLS, and NIH certifications required
• Dysrhythmia exam (Study guide available)
• Bachelor’s in Nursing and specialty certifications (CCRN, PCCN) valued, not mandatory
• EPIC EHR familiarity a plus
• Compassionate team player with strong communication, adaptability, and clinical judgment skills

Unit Details:

• Patient ratios: 1:4-5 (days), 1:5-6 (nights) depending on acuity
• Cardiac telemetry, vascular, med-surg, and post-procedure care
• Advanced interventions: PICCs, chest tubes, trachs, BiPAP/CPAP, multiple IV drips, and pain management with PCA pumps
• Robust support: PCAs, unit secretaries, and phlebotomy services
