Advance your nursing career in a progressive stepdown unit specializing in cardiovascular care. This contract opportunity offers you the chance to make a true difference in patient outcomes while working alongside highly skilled healthcare professionals.
Schedule/Hours:
- Night shifts: 4x12-hour (18:30 - 07:00)
- Options for 36 or 48 hours per week
- Weekend shifts required on a rotating basis
- Block scheduling considered on a case-by-case basis
Qualifications/Experience:
- Active RN license
- Minimum of one year recent stepdown experience; two years preferred
- Experience in cardiovascular patient care
- Certification in BLS and ACLS required; CPI certification is preferred
- Open to first-time and local travelers
- Comfortable with floating within the unit
- EPIC documentation experience preferred
- Professional demeanor; may wear any color scrubs (no logos)
Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in a 55-bed cardiac-focused unit
- Manage a patient load of 1:4, delivering attentive, safe care
- Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams
- Respond to changes in patient condition and intervene per protocols
- Educate, support, and advocate for patients and families
- Accurately document all aspects of care in EPIC
- Float to other units as required based on operational needs
