PCU/Stepdown Registered Nurse (RN) | Norfolk, Virginia

Key Qualifications & Experience:

• Active, unencumbered RN license
• At least one year of recent experience in a Stepdown, Telemetry, or Progressive Care setting
• Proficiency with complex monitoring and interventions (IV drips, telemetry interpretation, post-ICU assessments)
• Strong critical thinking, communication, and documentation skills
• BLS and ACLS certifications (required)
• Flexibility and reliability for contract assignments

Schedule:

• Full-time hours; exact shifts and days may vary with assignment and facility needs

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver continuous, high-quality nursing care to stepdown patients
• Monitor and interpret telemetry and vital signs, responding promptly to changes in status
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and established protocols
• Educate patients and family members to support positive outcomes and safe transitions
• Collaborate closely with an interdisciplinary team to create and implement individualized care plans
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation complying with facility standards

$2,001 - $2,189/Week Estimated weekly earnings represent hourly wages, based on 36 hours per week, and expense reimbursement for eligible candidates. The actual amount may vary based on hours worked, eligibility for reimbursements, and seasonal adjustments.
