Schedule/Hours:

• 12-hour night shifts
• Every other weekend (EOW)
• Every other holiday (EOH)
• 13-week contract

Position Overview:
As an RN in the PCU/Stepdown Unit, you’ll deliver comprehensive care, conduct assessments, prioritize patients' needs, and collaborate with a skilled interdisciplinary team. You’ll manage complex patients—cardiac telemetry, vascular, and med-surg—with opportunities to gain experience handling post-cath, post-pacemaker procedures, airway devices (CPAP, BiPAP, high flow O2, trachs), and critical infusions (Cardizem, Amio, Dobutamine, etc.). Your contributions will be vital to patient safety, quality improvement initiatives, and the delivery of compassionate, evidence-based care.

Qualifications:

• Active RN license valid in OH or compact state
• Minimum 2 years recent Stepdown/PCU experience
• BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications required
• Completion of required Dysrhythmia Exam (study guide provided)
• Bachelor’s in Nursing preferred
• EPIC EHR experience preferred
• Strong clinical judgment, adaptability, and dedication to professional practice
• Navy blue scrubs required

Responsibilities:

• Perform comprehensive assessments and adjust care plans accordingly
• Administer medications and manage drips and devices safely
• Serve as liaison for patient care coordination
• Advocate for safety and emotional well-being of adult/geriatric patients
• Mentor and educate staff; ensure accurate documentation
• Maintain infection control and uphold patient privacy standards
