This travel nursing role in a Progressive Care/Stepdown unit invites you to gain valuable exposure to a broad range of cardiac, vascular, and med-surg patients while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team. You’ll master advanced clinical skills, work with state-of-the-art technology, and expand your professional toolbox—strengthening your resume and fostering significant growth through exposure to a variety of workplace cultures and leadership approaches.

Schedule/Hours

• 12-hour night shifts (PM)
• Every other weekend & every other holiday

Qualifications/Experience

• Current, active RN license (Ohio or compact)
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience (Stepdown/PCU preferred)
• BLS, ACLS, NIH Stroke certification (required)
• Successful completion of a Dysrhythmia Exam (study guide available)
• Bachelor’s in Nursing (preferred)
• Prior EPIC EHR experience and critical care training desirable
• Compassionate communication, adaptability in high-stress environments, and solid clinical judgment essential

Responsibilities

• Perform patient assessments and develop individualized care plans
• Administer medications and manage complex patient conditions (e.g., cardiac drips, PCA pumps)
• Closely monitor patients via telemetry (verify and interpret strips each shift in EPIC)
• Collaborate with ancillary staff to ensure coordinated, quality care
• Manage patients with various lines/drains/device types (trachs, chest tubes, feeding tubes)
• Advocate for the patient’s needs and support family members
• Promote safety, infection control, and adherence to professional standards
