Stepdown Unit Registered Nurse (RN) in Olathe, KS

This role calls for an experienced Registered Nurse with expertise in both Stepdown and Progressive Care Unit (PCU) settings. Key Qualifications:

• Current, unencumbered RN license
• Minimum of one year recent experience in a Stepdown or Progressive Care Unit (PCU) role
• Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
• Ability to respond quickly in rapidly changing situations
• Proficiency with electronic medical records and documentation
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications required

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Deliver safe, effective nursing care to patients with acute and complex conditions in a stepdown/PCU setting
• Monitor and interpret vital signs, cardiac rhythms, and lab values; intervene appropriately as changes occur
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments as prescribed and per policy
• Serve as a resource for patient/family education and support during hospitalization
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to optimize patient outcomes through coordinated, evidence-based care
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care and progress
• Follow all infection control, patient safety, and facility protocols

$1,895 - $2,074/Week Estimated weekly earnings represent hourly wages, based on 36 hours per week, and expense reimbursement for eligible candidates. The actual amount may vary based on hours worked, eligibility for reimbursements, and seasonal adjustments.
