Stepdown Registered Nurse (RN) - Olathe, KS

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Current, active RN license
• Minimum of one year of recent experience in Stepdown or Progressive Care Unit (PCU) nursing
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications required
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
• Ability to adapt to rapidly changing patient conditions and prioritize effectively
• Experience with electronic health records and charting systems preferred

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and assess patient status, including vital signs and symptoms, within the stepdown or PCU environment
• Develop and implement individualized care plans for patients transitioning from critical to general care
• Administer medications and perform therapeutic interventions as prescribed
• Communicate effectively with physicians, healthcare staff, patients, and families
• Provide thorough patient and family education on post-acute care needs
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care activities
