PCU/Stepdown Registered Nurse (RN) | Olathe, Kansas

Qualifications:

• Active RN license
• Previous experience in Stepdown and/or Progressive Care Unit (PCU) environments
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Proficiency in modern EMR systems
• Excellent communication abilities and a collaborative approach to patient care

Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care for patients requiring close monitoring and advanced interventions in a stepdown/PCU setting
• Monitor patient condition, assess for changes, and respond swiftly to emergent situations
• Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary healthcare teams, including physicians, respiratory therapists, case managers, and ancillary staff
• Administer prescribed medications and manage complex treatment plans
• Advocate for patient and family needs, providing education and emotional support
• Ensure accurate documentation of observations, interventions, and outcomes within the electronic medical record system

$1,895 - $2,074/Week Estimated weekly earnings represent hourly wages, based on 36 hours per week, and expense reimbursement for eligible candidates. The actual amount may vary based on hours worked, eligibility for reimbursements, and seasonal adjustments.
