Stepdown Registered Nurse | Overland Park, Kansas

An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced RN to provide exemplary care within Stepdown and Progressive Care Unit (PCU) settings. This contract position is designed for a nursing professional with a strong background in delivering high-acuity patient care.

Preferred Qualifications and Experience:

• Current, unencumbered RN license
• At least one year of recent experience in a Stepdown or PCU setting
• Proficient in cardiac monitoring, medication administration, and post-acute care
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Effective communication abilities with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams
• Ability to perform calmly in high-stress, fast-paced environments

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive and compassionate bedside care for patients requiring close monitoring and frequent assessment
• Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs and physician directives
• Continuously monitor vital signs, recognize changes in condition, and initiate appropriate interventions
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, conditions, and the plan of care
• Accurately document patient care activities, changes, and interventions in accordance with facility policies

$1,895 - $2,074/Week Estimated weekly earnings represent hourly wages, based on 36 hours per week, and expense reimbursement for eligible candidates. The actual amount may vary based on hours worked, eligibility for reimbursements, and seasonal adjustments.
