PCU/Stepdown Registered Nurse (RN) | Overland Park, Kansas

A top-tier healthcare facility is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse with expertise in Stepdown and Progressive Care Unit (PCU) settings. Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct, high-quality nursing care to patients in the Stepdown and PCU units
• Monitor patient status, administer medications, and perform assessments in accordance with physician orders and hospital protocols
• Respond promptly to changes in patient condition and escalate care as needed
• Accurately document clinical observations, patient interventions, and outcomes in the electronic medical record
• Collaborate with physicians, allied health professionals, and support staff to ensure comprehensive patient care
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, procedures, and recovery expectations
• Maintain compliance with infection control, safety, and professional practice standards

Desired Qualifications:

• Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse license
• Minimum of one year experience in a Stepdown or Progressive Care Unit setting
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure and adapt to rapidly changing patient needs
• Familiarity with electronic health records and hospital protocols
