Take the opportunity to advance your clinical expertise as a Registered Nurse in Stepdown/Cardiac Stepdown care. This contract assignment offers a highly dynamic environment focused on delivering specialized, patient-centered care to individuals with cardiac conditions, while promoting professional development and collaborative teamwork.
Schedule:
- 12-hour night shifts (36 hours per week)
- Every other weekend required
- 13-week contract
Required Qualifications:
- Active RN license in good standing
- Minimum 5 years of RN experience
- Recent and relevant cardiac stepdown/telemetry experience
- Comfort with procedures including: TAVR, Watchmans, mitral clips, heart catheterizations, pre- and post-op open heart transfers from CVICU, and post-op CABG (greater than 3 days)
- Proficient with cardiac IV/PO medications, cardiac drips (cardizem, amiodarone, dobutamine, lidocaine, milrinone, heparin, insulin), and anticoagulants
- Experience in managing CHF, chest pain, arrhythmias (NSTEMI, STEMI), PE, sepsis, stroke, and observation patients
- Familiarity with use of TR band, groin management, and recognizing complications
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Experience with telemetry and a completed Telemetry skills checklist
- Ability to provide accurate clinical documentation and ensure care compliance
- Excellent communication, education, and advocacy skills
