Stepdown Registered Nurse - Piedmont, Alabama

Key Qualifications:

• Active RN license with good standing
• Minimum of one year’s experience in a stepdown or telemetry unit
• Strong cardiac monitoring skills and the ability to interpret rhythms
• Proficiency with electronic medical record systems
• BLS and ACLS certification required
• Excellent communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills

Responsibilities:

• Provide hands-on care for patients transitioning from the ICU or requiring high-acuity monitoring
• Closely monitor cardiac rhythms, vital signs, and patient symptoms
• Respond to changes in patient condition and implement appropriate interventions in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams
• Accurately document assessments, interventions, and progress in accordance with best practices
• Educate patients and families on treatments, medications, and ongoing care
• Ensure compliance with infection prevention and patient safety protocols
