Stepdown Registered Nurse (RN) - Quincy, IL

Qualifications:

• Current, unrestricted RN license

• Strong clinical judgment and the ability to respond quickly to changes in patient condition
• BLS and ACLS certifications (preferred or required, per current standards)
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Schedule:

• Specific hours and shift details will be shared during the interview process; flexibility to work various shifts as needed is essential

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct patient care in a stepdown unit, ensuring patient safety and comfort
• Monitor, assess, and record patients’ progress and responses to interventions
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments, following established protocols
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, patients, and families to develop and implement effective care plans
• Educate patients and their families on post-discharge needs and stepdown procedures
• Participate in unit meetings, continuing education, and quality improvement initiatives
