Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct nursing care to patients in the stepdown unit, including assessments, interventions, and evaluations.
  • Monitor patients closely for changes in condition, promptly addressing needs and escalating care as required.
  • Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and ancillary staff to implement comprehensive care plans.
  • Document patient status, interventions, and outcomes accurately in the electronic medical record system.
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding health conditions and recovery.
  • Maintain strict adherence to infection control, safety protocols, and quality standards.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Current and unencumbered RN license.
  • Minimum of one year experience working in a stepdown, progressive care, or similar acute care setting.
  • ACLS and BLS certifications required.
  • Excellent assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high acuity environment.
