Qualifications and Skills:
- Valid RN license in good standing
- Minimum of 1 year of recent stepdown or progressive care experience
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking abilities
- Proficiency with telemetry monitoring and acute care protocols
- Positive communicator with collaborative approach to multidisciplinary teamwork
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
Schedule/Hours:
- Variable shifts; flexibility to work days, nights, and weekends as scheduled
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct patient care to individuals with complex medical needs in the stepdown unit
- Closely monitor patient status, recognizing subtle changes and responding to emergencies as necessary
- Implement and evaluate individualized care plans in collaboration with physicians and allied health professionals
- Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and efficiently
- Educate patients and families on condition management and treatment plans
- Support continuity of care during transitions between units or at discharge
