Stepdown Registered Nurse - Roanoke, Virginia

Deliver advanced patient care through your expertise as a Registered Nurse in a stepdown environment. Qualifications and Skills:

• Valid RN license in good standing
• Minimum of 1 year of recent stepdown or progressive care experience
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking abilities
• Proficiency with telemetry monitoring and acute care protocols
• Positive communicator with collaborative approach to multidisciplinary teamwork
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required

Schedule/Hours:

• Variable shifts; flexibility to work days, nights, and weekends as scheduled

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct patient care to individuals with complex medical needs in the stepdown unit
• Closely monitor patient status, recognizing subtle changes and responding to emergencies as necessary
• Implement and evaluate individualized care plans in collaboration with physicians and allied health professionals
• Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and efficiently
• Educate patients and families on condition management and treatment plans
• Support continuity of care during transitions between units or at discharge
