As an essential member of a fast-paced Progressive Care Unit, you will deliver compassionate and skilled nursing support to patients requiring intermediate level care. This role is suited for a Registered Nurse with experience in Stepdown and PCU environments, who thrives under pressure and excels in collaborative, multidisciplinary teams. Key Qualifications:

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Previous experience in Stepdown or Progressive Care Unit (PCU) settings required
• Proficient in cardiac monitoring, ventilator support, and administering critical medications
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking abilities
• Adept at patient education and clear communication with families
• BLS and ACLS certifications are mandatory

Schedule:

• Contract assignment; specific shift details to be discussed during interview

Primary Responsibilities:

• Monitor and assess acutely ill patients, recognizing and responding to subtle changes in condition
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to safety protocols
• Collaborate with physicians and allied health professionals to coordinate individualized patient care plans
• Educate patients and families regarding disease processes, treatments, and ongoing care needs
• Maintain accurate patient records and contribute to effective shift handovers
• Provide emotional support and advocacy for patients navigating complex health challenges
