This opportunity is for an experienced Registered Nurse committed to excellence in acute cardiac care, focused on providing comprehensive, patient-centered service according to best practices and regulatory standards.

Schedule/Hours:

  • Night shifts, 12 hours each
  • 36 hours per week
  • Every other weekend required
  • 13-week assignment

Required Qualifications:

  • Active RN license in good standing
  • Minimum of 5 years RN experience
  • Proven background in a cardiac telemetry department
  • Recent hands-on experience with cardiac-related procedures and interventions, including TAVR, Watchman devices, mitral clips, heart catheterizations, management of open-heart (pre-/post-op), and post-op CABG care over 3 days
  • Advanced skills in managing cardiac medications (IV/PO), including, but not limited to, cardizem, amiodarone, dobutamine, lidocaine, milrinone, heparin, insulin
  • Comfortable with anticoagulation, CHF, chest pain, arrhythmias, NSTEMI, STEMI, PE, sepsis, pneumonia, stroke, observation patients, and use of TR bands or groin management
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
  • Proficiency with cardiac telemetry and keen attention to accurate skills checklist completion
  • Strong communication and collaborative abilities
  • Cardiac experience must be confirmed; ensure resume highlights relevant skills

  • Perform comprehensive assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care for a diverse cardiac stepdown population
  • Educate patients and families in disease processes, self-care, and prevention
  • Safely and accurately administer medications and manage IV drips per policy
  • Participate in improvement initiatives, unit council activities, and professional development
  • Foster a supportive environment for colleagues, students, and new staff
  • Adhere to all clinical practice standards and healthcare regulations
