PCU/Stepdown Registered Nurse (RN) | Virginia Beach, Virginia

Schedule/Hours:

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct nursing care in both stepdown and cardiac stepdown units, managing patients requiring close monitoring but not intensive care
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments, monitor vital signs, and promptly report any changes in patient condition
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to facilitate patient treatment plans, respond to emergencies, and deliver compassionate care
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions as prescribed
• Educate patients and families about ongoing care needs and discharge planning
• Accurately document all assessments, interventions, and patient responses according to facility standards

Desired Skills & Qualifications:

• Current and unencumbered RN license
• Minimum one year of recent experience in stepdown or cardiac stepdown units
• Demonstrated clinical expertise in monitoring, titrating drips, and managing complex cases
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Excellent communication abilities and commitment to patient-centered care
• Adaptability and critical thinking in high-pressure situations
• Proficiency in electronic medical records and bedside technologies

$2,001 - $2,189/Week Estimated weekly earnings represent hourly wages, based on 36 hours per week, and expense reimbursement for eligible candidates. The actual amount may vary based on hours worked, eligibility for reimbursements, and seasonal adjustments.
