PCU/Stepdown Registered Nurse (RN) | Winterville, North Carolina

Qualifications & Experience:

• Active RN license in good standing
• Minimum of 1 year clinical experience in a stepdown, telemetry, or progressive care unit
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Expertise in assessment, early recognition of deterioration, and escalation of care
• Strong skills in IV medication administration, cardiac monitoring, and complex patient care
• Excellent communication and documentation abilities
• Ability to work well within multidisciplinary teams and fast-paced environments

Core Responsibilities:

• Deliver skilled nursing care to patients transitioning from critical to general care, closely monitoring changes in condition
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team
• Monitor cardiac telemetry, vital signs, and administer prescribed therapies and interventions
• Respond promptly and appropriately to clinical emergencies and changes in patient status
• Educate patients and families on treatments, medications, and post-discharge care
• Maintain thorough and accurate patient records in accordance with hospital standards
• Support other team members and participate in unit-based quality initiatives
