Registered Nurse - Telemetry (RN) in Alabaster, AL

Deliver high-quality patient care in a dynamic acute care environment, utilizing your expertise in Medical-Surgical and Telemetry nursing. This contract opportunity is ideal for a Registered Nurse with a background in Med Surg and Tele, eager to work within a collaborative clinical team.

Key Qualifications:

• Active RN licensure required
• Minimum of 1 year of recent experience in Telemetry and Medical-Surgical nursing
• Proficient in cardiac monitoring, interpretation of arrhythmias, and telemetry equipment operation
• Strong assessment, documentation, and IV administration skills
• Ability to thrive in fast-paced settings while ensuring patient safety and comfort
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association preferred)
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide direct nursing care to patients on Med Surg and Telemetry units
• Monitor and interpret telemetry data, responding promptly to changes in patient status
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and protocols
• Collaborate closely with physicians, ancillary staff, and other nursing team members to deliver coordinated patient care
• Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, and ongoing care needs
• Maintain accurate, timely patient records and perform thorough assessments
• Uphold infection control procedures and adhere to facility policies and standards
