Travel Registered Nurse - Telemetry (RN) in Burlington, NC

Schedule/Hours

• 3x12 hour shifts
• Nights, 7:00 p.m. – 7:30 a.m.
• Every other weekend and holiday rotation
• 26-week assignment (no option for 13 weeks)
• Charge RN shifts and floating across multiple sites required

Key Qualifications

• Current, unencumbered RN license
• Minimum 1 year of recent Telemetry or Medical-Surgical experience
• BLS certification (required)
• EPIC experience (required)
• Comfortable with a 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Able to pass an EKG exam during onboarding
• Strong assessment, documentation, and communication skills

Primary Responsibilities

• Direct patient care in a telemetry-capable, predominantly medical-surgical unit
• Monitor cardiac rhythms; intervene using Rapid Response protocols as appropriate
• Manage peripheral lines, initiate IVs, administer blood products
• Safe administration of Heparin, Insulin, and PCA therapy
• Maintain infection prevention, including proper use of isolation precautions
• Float to other departments/facilities as required and take on charge duties when needed
