Registered Nurse - Telemetry (RN) in Cortland, NY

Provide essential bedside care in a fast-paced telemetry environment, focusing on supporting patients with complex cardiac and medical needs. This contract role offers the opportunity to work within an experienced multidisciplinary team and provide high-level clinical care using the latest technology.

Schedule/Hours:

• Every other weekend required
• Every other holiday coverage

Qualifications:

• Active Registered Nurse license
• Recent experience in a Telemetry unit (RN-Tele required)
• Proficiency with Epic electronic medical record system
• Strong patient assessment, communication, and critical thinking skills
• Ability to work collaboratively within a diverse healthcare team

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct bedside nursing care to telemetry patients, monitoring for changes and initiating appropriate interventions
• Accurately interpret cardiac rhythms, document findings, and communicate needs promptly
• Administer medications, treatments, and therapies per established protocols and orders
• Perform assessments, develop nursing care plans, and document patient progress
• Educate patients and families on health conditions, discharge plans, and care steps
• Adhere to all healthcare standards and best practices for patient safety and confidentiality
