Nursing professionals with expertise in telemetry are needed for an engaging 13-week assignment serving adult patients on a Telemetry unit. The role involves delivering high-quality patient care, monitoring cardiac rhythms, and providing clinical support within a dynamic team environment.
Schedule/Hours:
- 36/48 hour workweeks
- Night shifts: 7pm–7am
Qualifications:
- Valid and unencumbered RN license in Rhode Island
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification
- Recent experience in a Telemetry setting
- Strong assessment, clinical documentation, and IV skills
- Ability to work flexibly, adapting to high-acuity needs and change in assignment
Responsibilities:
- Assess, plan, and deliver nursing interventions for patients requiring cardiac monitoring
- Observe, interpret, and document telemetry readings, immediately reporting abnormalities
- Respond to changes in patient status with sound clinical judgment
- Collaborate effectively with multi-disciplinary teams for coordinated, patient-centered care
- Demonstrate flexibility by floating as needed (potentially up to three times per shift) in accordance with facility policy
- Maintain compliance with all union guidelines and facility standards
