Registered Nurse - Telemetry - Fairport, New York

A rewarding opportunity is available for a Registered Nurse specialized in Telemetry. Qualifications and Experience:

• Current and unrestricted RN license
• Minimum of one year recent experience in Telemetry nursing
• Expertise in cardiac monitoring, rhythm interpretation, and telemetry equipment
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Strong communication and critical thinking skills
• Ability to adapt in a fast-paced acute care setting

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care and ongoing assessment for patients on Telemetry units
• Accurately interpret and act on cardiac rhythms and vital signs
• Collaborate with physicians, cardiovascular technicians, and other nursing staff to ensure patient safety and effective care
• Administer medications and interventions according to established protocols
• Document patient status changes and interventions promptly and clearly in electronic health records
• Educate patients and families on cardiac care and monitor for changes in condition
• Respond rapidly to emergencies and participate in code situations as needed
• Maintain infection control and safety standards throughout all nursing activities
